WHERE TO STAY IN WHITSUNDAYS ISLAND, AUSTRALIA: PEPPERS AIRLIE BEACH
* This is a sponsored hotel post, however all opinions are mine.
If you are visiting the Whitsundays Island in Australia and are wondering where to stay, then you have come to the right place. Most of the tourists usually stay in one of the main islands at either Airlie Beach or Hamilton Island. During our trip to the Whitsundays, we decided to stay in Airlie Beach because the resort town has more hustle and bustle, is more affordable and is where most of the boat excursions leave from. The town is also within easy reach of both the Whitsunday Coast Airport and the Hamilton Island Airport which makes it an even more convenient location.
Luckily, we were hosted by Peppers Airlie Beach Resort, a gorgeous resort only 2 kms away from the main Airlie beach and port. I highly recommend staying at this resort if you are looking for a luxurious tropical getaway in the Whitsundays and here are the reasons why.
APARTMENT ROOMS
One of the most important factors when I am choosing a hotel to stay in are the rooms and in this category Peppers Airlie Beach really outdid itself. We stayed in the 2-bedroom spa apartment which was super spacious and came with a large balcony overlooking the Whitsundays. The apartment layout was well-structured and also included a living room, kitchen and 2 bathrooms. One of the bathrooms had a huge bathtub and that is where I was sold!
BREATHTAKING VIEWS
I remember as our taxi pulled into the resort and all around us was greenery, warm breeze blowing and the sea water glistening under the sun. I felt my soul was instantly transported into a state of paradise and it truly felt like I was on vacation. The resort has stunning views of the Coral Sea, Whitsunday passage and the port of Airlie Beach from almost every corner of the resort including the hotel lobby, pool area and the rooms as well. You cannot help but feel sparks of blissful happiness.
INFINITY POOL
Peppers Airlie Beach has a stunning infinity pool overlooking the Coral Sea in the Whitsundays Island. I usually never get time to chill by the pool but I actually had such a relaxing time here, sipping on cocktails and getting my tan on. The pool is quite big and the hot tub is attached right in front of it.
RESTAURANTS
Inside the resort you will find the Tides Restaurant & Bar, which is one of the most famous restaurants in the Whitsundays Island. The restaurant is open from 6:30am until 9pm everyday and is situated right by the pool. You can even order from the restaurant and enjoy your food by the pool. We had lunch here and the fish and meat tacos were amazing and so was the wine. The restaurant is also popular for dinner so if you are in the area I highly recommend you to check it out!
